CMS teacher, 38, is found dead at home

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating the death of a 38-year-old Charlotte-Mecklenburg school teacher whose body was found inside his southwest Charlotte home Tuesday morning ... The victim has been identified as Anthony T. Davis, who taught at Randolph Middle School in southeast Charlotte ... Police say they were called to Davis’ home, in the 7500 block of Lady Liberty Lane, shortly before 9 a.m., after a relative called authorities about being unable to reach Davis.

Whitewater center's lenders give it a break

The U.S National Whitewater Center announced Monday that lenders have forgiven roughly two-thirds of its $38 million debt, a move that the center's director said would position the center for long-term financial success ...
